Congratulations, Adriel!

The MHS Association Innovation Grant is an annual grant of $4,000 awarded to one or more MHS Association member organizations to help fund a new and innovative program to enhance the mission of their organization. The funding for this grant is made possible through the Lebanon Fund, an endowed fund to be used to enhance institutional health programs.

The grant committee, which included Roy Teramoto, MHS Association Board Member, Kerry Hoke, MHS Association Board Member, Jill Seifer, Oaklawn VP HR, Loralei LaVoie, OMRS CEO, Karen Lehman, MHS Association President & CEO, and Clare Krabill, MHS Association COO, reviewed and voted on the 2024 recipient.

This year, the grant was awarded to Adriel, an organization that recognizes that the journey of foster care for those who are considering it, going through the licensing process, or currently providing care is filled with days of mixed emotions, including joy, happiness, confusion, doubt, and fear. The grant will support the creation of a new innovative program to increase the number of diverse licensed homes, retain the current homes, and provide additional support to all by providing them with a comprehensive foster parent toolkit that would include several resources to help answer important questions for both the children in care, as well as those caring for them. Congratulations to Adriel Inc., recipient of the 2024 Innovation Grant!
